summer 2011
so seeing as it is the middle of what i believe to be australias coldest winter in a very long time I myself cant wait for my summer break in Belgium. So in preparation for that my music is slowly changing back into the fun bouncy tunes that remind me of summer and ive been spending my time searching for cute summer oufits rather than the warm elegant winter ones.

just finished off my catcher in the rye essay woooo year 11 curriculum.
most goddamn annoying piece of shit i ever read

hahah anyways the hardcore rebz i am is not used to being up this late on a school night so i thought i might write a blog post before bed to wind down
just inspiration images really, you know the everyday stuff :)
lately there has been so many knit shorts around ! I made myself a pair of mustard knit ones following a tutorial by Barbro Anderson. link they turned out pretty good but still there is so many nice pairs out there. like the grey knit ones from peter alexander. so getting myself another pair once I am able to spend more money aka europe ! :)

california dreaming
as my departure dawns ever closer; so does a party in celebration of this exciting event.
party planning is something i thoroughly enjoy and i have been having a lot of fun deciding on location and themes and photos for inspiration :) Seeing as I am going to be spending the next 6 months if my life in cold cold europe i thought an iconic australian beach party suits the occasion. only problem is i leave in August, the middle of our winter. So a cozy bonfire on the beach is going to have to suffice. ive been watching 90210 and OC reruns as inspiration for the cheeesy event ^_^ hhahaha

green with envy
i am in love with all things green at the moment.!
asparagus green, myrtle, emerald you name it.
I have been especially inspired by the shade of the romwe skirt in my last post.
hurry up and restock so i can buy it ! hahaha
as an aspiring designer myself, i find the superstitions around green pretty interesting.
my mentor / dressmaking teacher is very superstitious about green and looking through her extensive wardrobe you will see hardly any in there.
Also when watching the Signe Chanel documentary it was interesting to here the seamstress's there talking about how they too do not like to work with the colour green due to its tendency to bring bad luck.
dont think thats going to stop me though. right now my designs are all about green. which im my mind stands for 3 of my favourite things: envy, prosperity and mystery.

beach bonfire
thinking of having a beach bonfire for my going away playing with the idea atm as its winter so so many things could not work but still thought id plan an outfit anyways
because thats how i role.
anyways going to be cold as its middle of winter so kinda hard to think of cute dressy outfits ^_^
